Through our HIV/AIDS Twinning Center program, AIHA launched in November 2012 a new partnership linking the University of the West Indies in Kingston, Jamaica, with the University of South Carolina, marking our entry into the Caribbean Region.
This partnership supports the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief and is working to establish a model infectious diseases fellowship program.
Currently, we are actively exploring other opportunities to establish partnerships and programs in the Caribbean Region to support health systems strengthening and development of the institutional and human resource capacity required to provide effective prevention, treatment, care, and support of people living with, or affected by, HIV/AIDS or other public health challenges.
