Under a cooperative agreement with the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, AIHA launched a PEPFAR-supported project to improve blood safety and transfusion practices in Cambodia, Kyrgyzstan, and Ukraine in late 2012.
AIHA, through its HIV/AIDS Twinning Center program, is also currently exploring opportunities to establish other partnerships and programs in Asia to support health systems strengthening and development of the institutional and human resource capacity required to provide effective prevention, treatment, care, and support of people living with, or affected by, HIV and other public health challenges.
