Where We Work › Africa

AIHA’s partnerships and programs in Africa are managed by the HIV/AIDS Twinning Center in support of the US President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR).

The HIV/AIDS Twinning Center Program creates peer-to-peer relationships between organizations working to improve services for people living with or affected by HIV/AIDS. These partnerships establish an effective framework for building sustainable institutional and human resource capacity through the open exchange of knowledge, information, and professional experience.

The Twinning Center currently operates in the following nine African countries and has also managed now completed programs in Cote D’Ivoire and Uganda.
