In the City Perinatal Center, there are 25 fee-for-service beds. This department provides consultative, diagnostic, medical, sanitary and preventive care to all patients, regardless of citizenship and place of residence. Patients in our department choose their doctors and midwives. Relatives may be present at delivery, consistent with the woman's wishes. The issue of high-quality care for women in labor, maternity patients, newborns and gynecological patients is of paramount importance.

Our goals are:

  • to work independently, without constant supervision, and to act without being instructed;
  • to act professionally in any situation;
  • to be able to work with medical equipment and facilities, and use them properly;
  • to teach women to help themselves;
  • to treat colleagues, patients and their family members with respect; and
  • to respond immediately to the requests of patients and visitors.

During the post-delivery period there should be more detailed information on the advantages and techniques of breast feeding. We pay special attention to proper breast feeding and lactation. We encourage breast feeding upon a baby's demand, not according to a schedule. We talk to women on a regular basis about how to treat newborns and how to stick to a diet.

We have achieved the following:

  • mothers exhibit a more tender mood toward babies;
  • normal lactation;
  • normal post-delivery period;
  • no complications during babies' adaptation period;
  • early discharge of mother and baby.
