With funding from USAID, AIHA’s Capacity Building for Primary Care and Health Management initiative was launched in 2004 to assist Turkmenistan’s efforts to upgrade its training capabilities in the realms of family medicine and health management.
Specific objectives of this initiative include:
- Improving the quality of health management curricula;
- Upgrading national training capabilities in health management, finance, and family medicine; and
- Providing access to online medical resources and Internet-based communication tools through a Learning Recourse Center at the Ministry of Health
